To prevent double counting and giving transparency in emission reductions from electricity consumption, Certificates of Origin (CDOs) are used to track CELs through the Guarantees of Origin (GDOs) system.

CDOs are implemented to ensure the traceability of CELs through GDOs.
This mechanism helps prevent the double counting of attributes related to emission mitigation from energy consumption.
